Intrepid Junior Drama is a place where your child can explore their imagination, develop confidence to express themselves clearly and effectively and gain valuable life skills.
Story is at the heart of everything we do; whether that is through improvisation, devising or creating theatre – it is what we are known for.
Intrepid Junior Drama runs during term-time on Mondays in Lewes. Regular attendance and a long-term commitment are encouraged, as this is the key to unlocking the potential in each child.
Each term is themed, each class is structured and each term ends with a workshop, presentation or play.
The overall aim of Intrepid Junior Drama is for every child to have a positive and fun experience.

We are so grateful for your classes. They are an easy and relaxed experience that we know Ivar enjoys on his Saturdays; and he loves the kids there too. Richard, you produced a fantastic play in the Grange - well done everyone. We were really impressed by how much the kids had to learn and how well they did each scene.

School year 2018-2019 Years 3-6 (KS2)
Iford & Kingston Primary School, Wellgreen Lane, Lewes
£7.50 per hour paid as a term fee of £124 for autumn term 2018 (11 weeks). 10% sibling discount £112 per child. The term fee is due in advance of the term starting. If new, you pay in the week after the try out, or you can pay in four instalments between 1st - 15th of the month. Payments are made via bank transfer only.
What to wear?
Intrepid Red T-shirt (£10 purchased at class in cash), black leggings/joggers and long hair tied back. We go barefoot for Drama.
2 weeks before each term ends. Regular attendance over a period of time is encouraged to give the best oppotunity to build skills & confidence; and so the classes are only suitable for children/families that can commit.
Please note: The autumn term also involves starting work on the spring term 2019 play. I will assume your child will be performing in the play if you enrol in the autumn.
Aside from purchasing a T-Shirt, the only other costs are buying tickets to see the play in the spring, which is very likely to be in a local theatre space and the ticket price covers production costs and is not for profit. The exams in the summer term are of course paid by the parents. I have to raise £500 worth of exam fees in order for an examiner to visit us in Lewes. This has successfully run for the past 6 years. Information on exams can be found on the Exams tab.
